TRANQUILI"TEA" LOUNGE
A Temporary Interactive Space
Tranquili”tea” Lounge (2024–2025), co-created with Tristan Cobine, is a temporary interactive space designed to foster community through meaningful connections. Measuring 20 feet in length and width with an intimate height of 8 feet, the space enveloped visitors in layers of flowing fabric, soft lighting, and a whimsical chandelier of paper lanterns that hung from the center of the space.
Created for the Sacred Acre Festival in Ninilchik, Alaska, Tranquilitea Lounge invited guests to come in from the cold air of the night and gather over tea. An intricately decorated tea bar was the epicenter of the space and sat in front of a hanging altar depicting a crescent moon and the I Ching symbol for “inner truth”. Tranquilitea Lounge became a nocturnal haven for festival goers to retreat from the booming music and strobing lights and recharge, and often stayed busy until the early morning hours.
