SANCTUARY
A Temporary Interactive Space
Sanctuary (2022–2025) is a temporary, immersive environment designed as a place of pause, presence, and restoration.
Constructed from fabric, metal, glass, and water, the 8’ x 20’ x 20’ structure invites visitors into a softly enclosed interior where light, texture, and sound converge to create an atmosphere of quiet reverence. Installed at Sacred Acre Festival in Ninilchik, Alaska, the space was open 24 hours a day and attendees could drop in any time to find shelter for the mind, body, or spirit. The Sanctuary is both a temple and a refuge; a place to recover your energy and collect your thoughts, and prepare oneself to rejoin the great dance just outside its doors.
Co-created with Tristan Cobine, Sanctuary holds space for stillness, rest, reflection, and rejuvenation.
